Power of Nature Platinum Range D-Vit3 2000 IU is a dietary supplement containing vitamin D (2000 IU/daily dose) in the active form of cholecalciferol.
Vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol is a form similar to that produced in the body from sun exposure and is therefore more absorbable .
Vitamin D contributes to:
- the normal functioning of the immune system *
- maintaining normal bones *
- the preservation of normal teeth *
- maintaining normal muscle function *
- normal absorption/utilization of calcium and phosphorus and normal blood calcium levels *
Vitamin D also helps reduce the risk of falls related to body instability and muscle weakness. Falls are a risk factor for bone fractures in men and women aged 60 and older.
Dosage
1 tablet daily.
Instructions for use
Preferably taken with a meal.
Contraindications
Do not take if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients contained.
Side effects
Taking more than 4000 IU of vitamin D supplements is recommended to be accompanied by monitoring of blood calcium levels, as there is a risk of causing hypercalcemia.
At doses greater than 10,000 IU per day, diarrhea or constipation, decreased appetite, dry mouth, and a metallic taste may occur.
Precautions
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Storage
Store the product in a dry, cool place up to 25°C (77°F) and protect from light. Improper storage conditions, such as prolonged exposure to sunlight, high temperature, humidity and freezing conditions, may cause product deterioration.
