Eviol Omega-3 is a dietary supplement from concentrated distilled molecular fish oils rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
The omega 3 fats offered by fish oil are rich in EPA (Eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (dosahexanoic acid). They belong to the essential fatty acids which must be taken daily through the diet. They are found in many fish such as nuts, flaxseed, chia seeds and seaweed.
According to European Regulation 432/2012 by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA):
- 250 mg EPA & DHA per day contribute to the normal functioning of the heart
- 3 grams of EPA & DHA a day help maintain normal blood pressure
- 2 grams of EPA & DHA per day help maintain normal triglyceride levels
- 250 mg DHA per day help normal brain function and maintain normal vision
- 200 mg DHA per day contribute to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and infants
Dosage
1 to 4 capsules a day
Instructions of use
Adults:
- 1 capsule a day after meals for normal heart, brain and vision function
- 3 capsules a day after meals to maintain normal triglyceride levels
- 4 capsules a day after meals to maintain normal blood pressure levels
Contraindications
EPA lowers blood pressure by increasing the effect of antihypertensive drugs. It is also contraindicated in concomitant administration of anticoagulants and contraceptives.
Side effects
People with shellfish and fish allergies may be allergic to omega-3 fatty acid supplements.
Storage
Keep the product in a dry, cool place up to 25°C (77°F), and protect it from light. Inappropriate storage conditions, such as prolonged exposure to sunlight, high temperature, humidity, and freezing conditions, may result in alterations to the product.
