Product description
- Digital ovulation test
- Determines the 2 most fertile days
- Pack of 10 tests
The Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test detects the rise in the level of the ovulation hormone LH (luteinizing hormone), 24-36 hours before ovulation, thus indicating the 2 best days for conception in a given cycle. If a woman has intercourse during these 2 days, she is more likely to conceive.
It is the most effective home ovulation test. It provides clear digital results, so there is no need to interpret the lines, and it has more urine receptors than any other brand, making it more effective at determining peak LH levels.
Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test:
- It has 99% accuracy in determining the peak LH level.
- It provides more urine receptors, increasing the chances of determining the maximum LH level in a given cycle.
- It has a unique symbol on the flashing urine container that indicates the test is working.
- It provides the result within 3 minutes.
- It is more expensive than the calendar and temperature methods.
Instructions for use
1. Before the exam
- Always read the instructions on the packaging and in the instruction leaflet carefully before use.
- You need to know your usual cycle length before you start, to make sure you test at the right time to detect the LH surge
- To find your cycle length, set the day your period starts (first day of a full menstrual cycle) as Day 1 and continue counting until the day BEFORE your next period starts - the number of days is your cycle length.
- Once you know your cycle length, use the chart in the leaflet to find out when to start testing. Start testing the day after your cycle length.
- You can take the test at any time of day, but you must do it at the same time every day.
- Try not to urinate for four hours before the ovulation test and you should avoid excessive fluid intake before the test - you may find it easier to use the first morning urine of the day.
2. Preparing for the ovulation test
- Remove the ovulation test from the foil wrapper.
- Remove the lid
- Place the ovulation test in the test holder before applying urine
- Align the pink arrow on the ovulation test with the pink arrow in the test slot and insert it until it clicks into place.
- Wait for the "ready to test" symbol to appear and perform the ovulation test immediately.
3. Taking the test
- Hold the absorbent tip down into your urine stream for 5 to 7 seconds.
- Or collect a urine sample in a clean, dry container. Dip the absorbent tip in the urine for 15 seconds.
- Be careful not to get the test socket wet.
4. Wait 3 minutes
- Hold the tip down or place the test stick horizontally. Never hold the test with the absorbent tip up during testing.
- After 20 to 40 seconds, the "ready to test" symbol will start flashing, indicating that the ovulation test is working.
- Do not throw away the ovulation test before you receive the result.
- Replace the ovulation test cap and wait 3 minutes.
5. Read your results
- Within 3 minutes the result will appear on the screen.
- No LH surge : If you get a “blank cycle,” the test did not detect the LH surge. Repeat the test the next day at the same time using a new ovulation test.
- LH Surge : A “smiley face” means you’ve detected your LH surge. Your 2 most fertile days are today and tomorrow, so having sex within the next 48 hours will maximize your chances of getting pregnant.
- Once you have read your final result, remove the ovulation test and throw it away.
- Your result can only be read on the test taker screen - you cannot determine your result from any of the lines on the ovulation test.
- The result will remain on the screen for 8 minutes.
- Do not replace a used ovulation test in the receptacle.
