Acidophilus by Health Aid is a dietary supplement of probiotic strains for gastrointestinal health in combination with prebiotics (FOS).

Lactobacillus Acidophilus is the main probiotic strain that 'inhabits' our body and belongs to the lactobacillus-acidophil family. It is mainly found in the small intestine and produces lactase, an enzyme necessary for digestion of lactose, but also some substances to support the immune system.

Bifidobacterium Bifidum belongs to the family of bifidobacteria, whose primary role is to produce B-complex vitamins, to maintain neurological function and healthy metabolism and growth.

Prebiotics (fructo-oligosaccharides-FOS), are vegetable fibers and are the food of probiotics, thus promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria.

Health Aid's Acidophilus is a combination of the above probiotic strains in an amount of 100 million capsules, together with prebiotics, for better growth of probiotic culture. Suitable for maintaining healthy intestinal flora which helps in digestion and overall good bowel health.
